The annual Neuroscience Conference, hosted by the Neuroscience Research Group at the University of Pretoria and Enterprises University of Pretoria (Enterprises UP), has opted to go green and lessen the carbon footprint by presenting the 9th conference in 2018 as a total online package. Starting from 21 June 2018 the conference will take on a web-based approach allowing for continuous enrolment and participation right up to 21 September 2018.

Traditionally presented as a one-day seminar where researchers and experts in the fields came together to share experiences and latest findings, the realisation soon dawned that many more academics, students and other interested parties in the neurosciences space could benefit from the knowledge and insights shared during the conference. Going online provides a much larger audience access to this invaluable experience and opens the floor to unbridled possibilities for collaboration, knowledge creation and optimal utilisation of resources.

The aptly (re)named Neuroscience Online Conference aims to expand delegates’ perceptions, widen their professional networks and stimulate the inquisitive self in the pursuit of a greater understanding of the mysteries of the human brain. Characterised by its rich diversity of topics and multidisciplinary nature, the conference also aims to provide a platform for individuals to share their research findings and future aspirations.
