Brief Description
The Introduction to Ministry training programme provides you with an in-depth overview of all aspects related to the identity and person of the minister, the church as body, institution and movement, Kingdom and community, as well as the witness of the church as servants. From the outset, the programme adopts the approach that the followers of Jesus gather as churches to minister in upward, inward and outward dimensions, and therefore aims to equip you with the basic concepts, methodologies and resources that pertain to a contemporary Christian ministry and to express the faith as a prototype of being the Great Commission.

After successfully completing this course, you will be able to apply your skills in leadership, community transformation, congregational development, healing and counselling.

Students will be introduced to Basic study methods. Basic theological terminology. Ministry and vocation. Images of ministry. Leadership in ministry. The person of the minister. The spiritual life of the minister. Personal prayer life. Spiritual discernment.
