Brief Description
A service level agreement (or SLA) is a useful tool to manage the relationship between a service provider and their client. There is quite a bit of confusion in South Africa about service level agreements. Different people seem to have different understandings of what they are and why they should exist. There are many kinds of service level agreements, which confuses the issue.
 
This 5-week online course will enable delegates to create competitive supply chain bids with all the necessary elements covered in the course. The focus in this course will be on teaching the fundamental concepts, processes, principles and techniques in supply chain management bids to create competitive bids and to ensure business continuity. It will also assist delegates to understand the responsibilities and elements of tenders and bids.
 
This is a fully online offering, asynchronous and self-paced learning with assistance from facilitator(s).
 
The University of Pretoria is the only university in South Africa with the European Logistics Association accreditation. The course leader is an Internationally Certified Supply Chain Professional.
Learning Outcomes
The participants will:
  • acquire hard knowledge and real (marketable) skills to work successfully in a supply chain and logistics environment.
  • understand fundamental concepts, processes, principles and techniques of supply chain management bids to enable the creation of competitive bids
  • understand the responsibilities and elements of tenders and bids.

Entry Requirements
The requirements are that delegates should have a general knowledge about business management and should at least have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) and/or prior knowledge in place.
This course has a calculation component and you are expected to be able to do basic calculations with the use of your calculator.
