Brief Description
The Project Management Professional Exam Preparation (PMP) workshop assists you in improving your knowledge of project management in preparation of the PMP examination. Unlike other certifications that focus on a particular geography or domain, the international PMP certification can lead to project management work in virtually any industry, using various methodologies and/or in any possible location. The PMP helps you understand the global language of project management and enables you to better connect with the global project management community. The workshop focuses on the following knowledge areas: initiating projects; planning projects; executing projects; monitoring and controlling projects; and closing projects.

After successfully completing the workshop, you will be prepared to write the PMP exam. You will have a discernible knowledge of all the PMBOK knowledge areas and process groups and know how to implement its approaches in agile environments.Information on how to apply for and write the PMP exam will also be provided. Entry Requirements
The workshop has no prerequisites but eligibility to write the exam and gain certification is strictly prescribed. The prerequisites to becoming PMP certified are: A bachelors degree, 4500 hours project management experience and 35 hours of project management education (PPM or equivalent), or A Grade 12 certificate or the global equivalent, 7 500 hours project management experience and 35 hours of project management education (PPM, APPM or equivalent).Delegates are advised to book an exam date 12 months after the workshop. This must be done through the PMI at www.pmi.org.
