Brief Description

The short course in Public Financial Management provides you with the requisite insights to the implementation and implications of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) of 1999 (as amended) on your role as middle or senior financial manager in the public sector.
The course specifically covers various topics of the basic concepts and principles required for sound public financial management in order to comply with National Treasury regulations, to execute effective reporting and to apply the necessary performance requirements for strategic planning and budgeting, expenditure classification, performance measurement, asset and risk management, as well as internal control for financial accountability.
