Brief Description
The short course in Railway Infrastructure Maintenance Management provides you with an understanding of the general principles of railway infrastructure maintenance and its management, as applied to the multidisciplinary fields of track, traction power supply, signalling and rail-bound infrastructure and telecommunications. You will also gain specific exposure to the appropriateness of design of particular railway systems in relation to prevailing and future business needs, including the development of Lifecycle Maintenance Plans (LMPs) and the ability to adapt them to possible changing business circumstances. This course is presented as part of the Railway Engineering Education Programme of the University of Pretoria
Learning Outcomes
After successfully completing this course, you will be more familiar with key facets of the management of a railway asset lifecycle, as well as the relationship between railway asset management as part of a system and that of a business plan.

Entry Requirements
Prospective delegates should at least have a National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification and/or relevant work experience. Prior completion of the Introduction to Multidisciplinary Concepts in Railway Engineering short course is recommended.
