Brief Description

The Train Movement Control Systems short course will provide you with a better understanding of Train Movement Control Systems (TMCSs) and their importance in ensuring safety in railway operations.
The course covers various aspects of train movement control and sociotechnical systems, as well as current signalling procedures that are used. You will also gain a working knowledge of the institutionalisation and economics of TMCS, conditions monitoring systems and the state of railway safety in South Africa and abroad. The course also provides you with an opportunity to gain practical skills by means of on-site and/or real-world case studies for application.
