Writing Accounting Education Research for Publication

Struggling to write that accounting education research paper? Looking for strategies to use writing time more effectively?
This course offers:
  • Expert writing instruction to improve persuasiveness and clarity

  • Facilitated small group discussions to learn from each others’ efforts

  • Longitudinal coaching with written feedback
This is the first course to focus on accounting education researchers in South Africa and is presented by two of South Africa’s leading accounting education researchers who have consistently published in all the leading accounting education journals and many top higher education journals internationally. Participants should bring a manuscript-in-progress to work on
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the course delegates will:
  • Be able to right more clearly
  • Be able to structure their writing more effectively
  • Have an awareness of the content of the various components
  • Acquire insights into effective writing practices.
Course Content
Core sessions will focus on writing of an
  • Introduction (session 1),
  • Literature review (session 2),
  • Remainder of the paper (session 3).
Individual sessions will focus on the outcome of the review of the students manuscript by both faculty and discussion and feedback to the participant by the two faculty on their introduction and literature review.
Entry Requirements
Participants should bring an accounting education related manuscript-in-progress to work on.
